We have had the pleasure or working with Mel Hamilton on a number of occasions, most recently for the launch of our Mirus Single Block range, working with chefs Clare Falzon and Sandor Palmai, delivering an outdoor degustation menu including a five-course meal and 8 wines over 2 days with 40 guests per day.  Mel was instrumental in the coordination and flow of the day and worked and delivered clear direction to her staff (our teenage children) to deliver a seamless event.

Mel's keen eye for detail, creative flair, and ability to anticipate and address challenges make her an expert in organising seamless events. We could not recommend highly enough for her positive influence on our children and her knack for creating memorable experiences for our guests.

Mel is both a boldly inspiring personality and an eloquent speaker that supports and nurtures young hospitality workers in developing greater skills in the industry.

At Fino, Seppeltsfield Mel was the person in charge of my Wine training and with absolute honesty I couldn’t have asked for anyone more qualified to walk me through the step by step process of winemaking from vines to bottle.

But not only did she give me a thorough explanation of the vintage, fermentation and bottling processes of wine, she also provided backgrounds of winemakers, custodians of certain vines and stories that have entertained all of my wine pairing tables.

I can with complete honesty say that every wine pairing I have had since my wine training with Mel, has come with an engaged and entertained table and always a nice tip at the end!

Truly a treasure of the Barossa and a master at teaching all things hospitality, couldn’t recommend her more, I certainly walked out with a role model and great wine knowledge.
